So it’s the busy season and the parking lots are nearly full. “Oh man! That was the last spot”. It looks like you are going to have to parallel park on the street. But don’t panic. It’s not as hard as you think it is. And if you follow these simple steps, you will be parking like a pro in no time at all. This is how to parallel park.
Step 1: You need to pick a quiet street for learning. Choosing a busy street can quickly become a bode of situations. And that’s not a good environment. Once you have picked a parking space, you are ready for Step 2.
Signal to the right and then pull forward to be even with the space in front of where you are going to be parking. We are going to use a space on the right side of the street for this example.
Step3: Check your mirrors and begin backing your car up slowly. Turn your steering wheel to the right to begin to angle your car towards the curb at about a 45-degree angle. When you are about half way to the curb, straighten out your wheel.
