Hello. My name is Lain Gillespie. Today I am going to tell you how to change a flat tyre quickly and more importantly safely.
Ok at this point we need to secure the car. We need to put it in the first gear, we need to make sure the hand break is on and we are on flat, level ground as well. Here’s our stuff we need. We’ve got a spare tyre, we’ve got a jack, we have got a toeing eye that’ll come clear in a minute. We’ve also got our wheel brace as well.
Also we are going to need our reflective jacket and if you take a triangle with you in the back of you car put that at-least 20 metres behind the car.
Ok now we’ve got our tyre. First thing we need to do is get this hub cap off. Now that can be a problem in itself. Some people cable-tie these on so you use a set of cutters. It’s always worth carrying those. If not, one my tips is to actually use the toeing eye, it’s always got a screwed edge on the corner. Into the side and just pull it off like so. Once you have actually got the hub cap off we are going to expose the full wheel and nuts that we are going to be undoing.
