If the customer comes in and requests our clutch adjustment. What you are going to do is check the clutch free paddle and the clutch brake adjustment in the case in the cab.

The clutch free paddle is how much free movement the clutch paddle has in the cab. the clutch free play is the movement that the clutch has down on the release bearing and will show that when we go underneath the truck. Right now this free movement a distance that the arm moves and recommended free paddle travel is inch and a half. The range is usually an inch to two inches and that is quite often customer preference some customers like more free paddle, some customers like less. That is the free paddle adjustment. Right now we have about a inch and a half so this clutch is adjusted properly in cab.

The other adjustment that we need to check is the clutch break adjustment and what that is as we step on the clutch its going to come to a stop and when we go underneath we see how this release bearing comes back towards the front of the transmission and squeezes the clutch brake to stop the input shaft.
