It is necessary to replace the vehicles spark plug and spark plug wires ones for the smooth running of your car. The video shows step wise process on how to change the spark plugs and wires.

Are repair vehicle today is a 2000 Honda civic 1.6 dual overhead cam engine. Now we are going to replace our spark plugs and our spark plug wires. So let’s get started, first thing we are gonna do is we are gonna remove our cover here. That’s gonna allow us to access our spark plug and spark plug wires .I just remove our cover, set it aside and now we have our spark plug and spark plug wires. What we wanna do is we wanna twist our spark plug wire gently pull up. We listed off first spark plug,

We are gonna do one at a time. So what we gonna do is we are gonna go in here we wanna catch our spark plug. We are gonna lift it up out of there. What we are gonna do is we are gonna check spark plug gap, the specification for a spark plugs here is 43. So what we are gonna do is take 43 out, you want to go in smooth not too tight just about like that. Now what we are gonna do, we are gonna put it in there. We wanna drop it to 18 foot pounds, don’t over tighten it. I will make sure it’s nice and sedan, and that’s it, that’s it for number one. Thus we are gonna do one at time; I will remove our second one. We are gonna do the same. Now that we have our spark plugs installed, we are gonna change our spark plug wires we are going to do this one at a time.

We don’t want rip all this off and then try to figure out your time and order and everything. Do one at a time, we will start with a longest one first. We will just remove it out of the clips to follow it all the way up to the distributor and remove it out of the cap. We do just will take it and measure to our longest one. That would be this one set those aside, put the long one aside. What we are gonna do is we are gonna set that in there, we are going to push firmly on it. Make sure it sits down into the spark plug. Next we are gonna run our wire right in our clip. Right back to our spark plug, right back up to our distributor cap.

Make sure that’s firmly installed we are gonna do the same with our second one. Remove it from the cap we will take second longest again we are gonna insert our spark plug wire. Wanna push down make sure it’s firmly installed in to our spark plug. We will follow with that to the clips, and install it firmly into our cap. Wanna make sure it’s nice and sedan. We are gonna do the same with three and four. Now that we have our spark plug wires installed, we are gonna reinstall our cover. Want to make sure our spark plug wires are nice and flat. We do wanna to cover to pinch him. This could cause arcing. Take our nuts. So that I can close our installations so let start it up and see hoe she runs. Sounds great.
