If you fold it dry..then the edges might pick up and corner or something sharp that might possibly scratch your paint. You take your single edge laser blade and always use a fresh razor blade. These things are cheap, you never know who used it before, and what they have used it for, and they may have burs on the edges that may give you serious problem.
